Screw that – no one makes me feel country

Ok so my last post was blah blah blah. To recap, I allowed myself (notice I’m taking ownership) to feel not quite as cool as I’d like. Today I’m SO over it.

Martha Stewart is like a flippin’ Home Goddess. And she does it all in style. She’s not old-fashioned or country – she’s just an over-achieving dream.

And if I want to be well-rounded, intelligent, an amazing homemaker AND look fantastic while doing it all – that’s my prerogative. I don’t think it’s old-fashioned. I think it’s just shows I have a very short attention span, am a little vain, and need lots of mental stimulation. :)

Take THAT Sydney. Maybe all YOU care about is looking fabulous – but I care about the best of both worlds. :-p

  • do you always want to kill things that scare you, daisy?

  • I also think Martha is a Amazing…and you are so much like her (minus the criminal background). I wish I was more domestic! You would love the new apron my Mom just got me from Anthropology…It totally reminded me of you :-)

  • I think I may just saying that from now on, “Take that Sydney!” Even if I’m not taking about Australia or anything relating therein…it will be my own inside joke…I’ll laugh at it if I want. Take that Sydney!

  • Oh, wow.

    Dejavu.

  • Daveh – killing spiders all by myself is actually a new thing. I used to just scream and make someone else take care of it. So no – killing scary things isn’t a habit. :) I’m usually too scared to kill them. And as far as WANTING – no I don’t even WANT to kill spiders – I just don’t want them in the same room with me. But I’m perfectly content to have them live outside. As long as I don’t see them. :)

Alexis – Thanks!!! You’ll have to send me the pic of your apron. I bet it’s adorable!!! I didn’t even know Anthropology did aprons – that’s AWESOME!!!

Scott Pete – you make me proud to have you as a brother. Take THAT Sydney. My brother is cooler than yours!

Orhan – k seriously – did you really think my blog post would have something “surprising” ?? Especially when we hung out today? LOL! Take THAT Sydney!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh at least I make myself laugh.

  • It’s funny but you don’t meet too many people who respect Martha Stewart that much and I don’t know why. She is a busy woman though; not sure if many could handle what she does.

  • You leave my Sydney alone! Seriously. You’re messing with a whole lot of something you couldn’t possibly comprehend. Think about it, they leave YOU to put a hot chocolate together. Who does that?? It was a setup. Enjoy your cancer.

  • t.k.foster – I think you’re right. And I wonder why that is. The Martha Stewart Living magazine is the bomb – people should lay off the “hate martha” attitude. :)

orhan – I agree. Who – except SYDNEY – would trust me to make my own hot chocolate? Would instructions really have been too much to ask for? I mean COME ON! How in the world was I supposed to know I should put the chocolate in FIRST? And thanks for nothing “BFF” a REAL friend would have told me I was doing it wrong.

  • Hey, you didn’t need MY permission to construct a cup of chocolate, surely. You’re a big girl now. And I’ve come to expect odd ball behaviour from Crazy McDaisy. First their was the burger episode then the Lindt episode. You’re a walking sitcom. I’m not going to ruin that. I’m sure your people would approve.
